Sustainability
As a project funded by the Woodland Trust, we are at our heart, sustainability led.
Besides maintaining the sustainability of our UK woodlands through awareness and changing attitudes towards Fungi, sustainability is factored into every decision we make.

Printing
For each of our decks, we collaborate with the printing company Ivory Graphics. Based in Cambridgeshire, Ivory Graphics are locally sourced and adhere to strict environmental policies to reduce their environmental impact as much as possible, at all stages of the printing process.

Reducing Plastic
ISO 14001 Certification
Our cards at MycoStrike rely on Ivory Graphic's paper-based printing, of which 80% is FSC® approved.
The Forest Stewardship Council is an international non-profit considered the world's most trusted forest certification system. They are dedicated to combatting deforestation and illegal logging through sustainable forestry practice, fair wages, and respect for community rights.
Ivory Graphics is increasingly plastic-free.
In print, this means replacing plastic (particularly packaging and certain varnishes) with paper or natural alternatives where possible.
This is an international industry certification that indicates a business adheres to a strict framework for their Environment Management Strategy (EMS).

Simplified, this means that they're not just about profit, but consciously consider where they can constantly improve in reducing waste, energy use, and cost at the same time.

Energy Use
Workplace Environment
On a smaller scale, the Ivory Graphics production site is largely self-sufficient in energy production.
This involves both reducing energy expenditure and generating their own energy using solar panels.
The capacity of the solar system is expanding, and currently has a generation capacity of 70kW per hour. In 2023, approximately 61,514kWh was produced (which could power nearly 23 homes)!
Ivory Graphics is an attractive employer from a sustainability standpoint, owing to their local hiring policy, cycle to work scheme, and on-site electric vehicle charging sites.
